Website Suggestions / Version Updates Log
« on: July 16, 2012, 05:13:21 pm »
A changelog for ECnR and any other game servers formed under the EGCommunity.

This could be made at EnigmaticGC.com/changelog/, where users see a list of game servers that comes under EGCommunity. Clicking on "ECnR" out of the list would take the user to ECnR.EnigmaticGC.com/changelog/, where users see a list of (collapsed) version numbers, clicking on which would expand that version log to reveal the changes made into that version.

These version logs could have the number of lines the script currently has, and number of lines reduced or added from the previous version in brackets.

Website Suggestions / WAP2 - Mobile Version
« on: July 15, 2012, 08:39:04 am »

[Note that the above download is for Steve to install on the forum, and has nothing to do with any of the normal members of the Enigmatic Gaming Community]

The default WAP2 (the one being used currently) has many things that make it bad. Like not showing text formattings, hyperlinks, pictures, and a lot more. It's not so nice to look at, either.

Important things like text formattings, often used to highlight a certain part of the quoted text so it's known what part they're talking about, and others like links, that users often use the [ url ] tags with, are all shown. In the default version, it's not known if there are any links in the huge block of text one sees on their phone screen, when it's hidden behind a word. Everything looks normal!

Further more, usernames on posts have been made clickable! This means no more trouble trying to check a user's profile!

There has been a lot of important changes which I just can't think of right now, making this mod, in my opinion, the complete WAP2 mod. Not just me, probably thousands of SMF users, because it looks pretty damn good, too!

So, a list of all updates and features can be found here.

General Server Discussion / Replacement for Eggman?
« on: July 10, 2012, 02:03:02 pm »
First, a small explanation:

"Enigma said a dog bit his finger. Truth is, he was fingerin' a girl, and she sneezed."

lol. Your own lines, man!
Did I really say that Sylar? lmao
Eggman did. ;)
Oh right, lol. Was quite intoxicated when writing most of that lil bastards lines. *First time I've admitted in public I wrote his lines and he's not an Egg* :(. The self illusion is over! :'(
Time for a new self illusion then? ;)

I don't know, 'Eggwoman' maybe...
No no no. Baconman.
Would you guys really want a new Byrner character creation? If enough people want it, I'll put some thought into it.

Lastly, let me highlight the question we're here to discuss:
Would you guys really want a new Byrner character creation? If enough people want it, I'll put some thought into it.

My opinion is clear: Yes. What's yours? What would you like?

ECNR Suggestions / [IRC] Admin Commands
« on: June 30, 2012, 06:47:05 pm »
!padan - To send an announcement to a specific player.

!forcerules - Slap Sylar. :P

Also, making !adan sendclientmessagetoplayer (was it?) too would be a good idea, so in case anyone misses the sent message, they can scroll up to see.

General Server Discussion / Funny moments
« on: June 27, 2012, 05:54:47 pm »
I won't lie,- this is a stolen idea! Then again, I've seen a few stolen things going successfully well, in recent days! Let's hope my little topic brings some fun and lightens the place up a bit!

I had seen a topic on another server's forum. A server I played on for around 2 weeks, an year or so back.

Basically, you just post some funny quotes/moments/conversations from our IRC channel (irc.enigmaticgc.com), even some funny conversations from inside the server! You can easily copy the logs!

One I found funny is Enigma's confession:
[69:69] <~Enigma> I confess, I am homo.

Heh, just kidding - no fake logs!

General Server Discussion / What's your GMT?
« on: June 20, 2012, 06:19:57 pm »
Post in here your GMT time, and at what times you're active and playing on our server.

I'd like to keep a record of all of it. Let's say I (for one) would like to learn the times we have players, who the players are and also to actually meet all of them.

I'm sure you find the server a little bit empty. Well, that's because the server is new (of course)! That's what I'll be trying to fix. Knowing when people might be around will definitely fix a little of it!

Thanks!

ECNR Suggestions / [IRC/Forum] Bot?/Organizing things a bit.
« on: June 18, 2012, 02:04:39 pm »
A few important commands such as !E(nglish only), !F(laming isn't allowed),  and probably a few other important commands could help in warning users of their small things. So yeah, an IRC bot. It could then slowly be updated with more things like checking player history, IRC administration system, and a lot more.

Currently it has just one suggestions section -- for the game. A better (commonly used) idea would be to make a suggestions category, and to add 3 boards under it -- IRC suggestions, Forum suggestions and Ingame suggestions.

General Server Discussion / Happy Birthday Topic
« on: June 14, 2012, 11:12:00 pm »
Well, I've been thinking a lot about the Forever Alone meme, as my birthday just passed, and I got two wishes. One right at 12'o'Clock, right on my birthday, and the other in the morning!

Yeah, my mom loves me.

And that second wish was all I needed- don't ask.

So, to the point:
Wish whoever's birthday it is a happy Birthday here. Care and respect every member of the community! Hehe.

General Server Discussion / A few...
« on: June 07, 2012, 09:32:46 pm »
... mistakes and a couple of suggestions.

The forum doesn't have a website/forum bugs section.

On with the mistake:
When replying to a topic, a small text below the text box warns users to read the rules before posting. Now, if you check the link I've provided (which is the same link as in the real thing) is incorrect:

ecnr.enigmaticgc.com/forum/forum/index.php?action=help

the correction of which is:
ecnr.enigmaticgc.com/forum/index.php?action=help

Simple!

Replace ^that link with the link to the rules book, or the link to the part of the server rules book listing rules for the forum, once either of the rule books are made.

Pardon any mistakes made on my part.

General Information / The EGC IRC
« on: May 24, 2012, 08:48:44 pm »
To join our IRC network, you must have an IRC client first of all. I prefer Icechat, but most prefer mIRC.
Icechat is easy to set up and straight forward.
While mIRC has more features, you have to pay for the full version. Although cracked(pirated) versions are available, I'm not going to link them here.

To download IceChat, go here:
http://www.icechat.net/site/downloads/download.php?did=1
Once it's been downloaded, install it to your system.
Open it up once installed, then click "Add New" on the left hand side.
Then type irc.enigmaticgc.com
Go next, and use the default port, this should be 6667.
Use #EGC as the channel.
Choose your User name.
Just click next on AutoPerform (For now)
Now it's been added to your favourites, just double click to join.
It's a lot simpler than it sounds.  :)
To use it's features or whatever, speak to someone on IRC. Any questions, feel free to ask here.

Introductions / My Introduction!
« on: May 24, 2012, 07:00:21 pm »
Well, Hello. I'm "Sylar", 16. I've been playing SA-MP for around, I don't know, 2 years. Jumping from server to server always bored me, and I'm thinking of sticking to this one.

The history of this server, and the server it originated from, interests me. I believe ECnR can reach far. This may be the beginning of a new legendary cops and robbers server.

If there's anything special you'd like to know about me, just shoot me a PM, or spit it here, because I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to say!
