It's a simple suggestion, and is seen everywhere!
When you edit your post, make it so you can specify a reason for the edit. It can appear next to the "last edit" on every edited post.
Very simple, really. :)

Hmm... Maybe when you edit the topic at the bottom you could write it yourself instead of having to write in a box?... Just the same...?
