I would like to apologize for the recent downtime and fuckedtime of the ECNR server. I accidently created an issue, we are use to Volt Host supplying that issue in particular so we of course blamed them. Only a few moments ago did I realize it was actually a mess up on my part. All is fixed now and you're all free to enjoy ECNR once again.

That's right...you read that correctly. We're now in the Minecraft business. I had always planned on branching into a MC Server. Part of the reason I organized the "Community Discussion" was because I knew most people would suggest a Minecraft server, and once they had done...we brought them into the #EGCM channel.  :)

You can access the EGCM forum by clicking on the tab below the Forum banner. We're very exited about our first gaming adventure outside SA-MP. We have a feeling it will be a great success. You can get the details about the server on it's own forum tab.

I'm glad we finally have this out. :)

We will be hosting a Community discussion this Thursday at 8PM. Byrner Time.

We will be discussing the future of EGC. Your ideas for expansion, what needs to be improved on, etc. It will be an official open discussion on IRC. Everybodys voice will be heard. So if you have any ideas or "wishes" for EGC as a whole, be sure to discuss it with your fellow Community members and then present it to me and my team at the meeting. Thank you.

Announcements / v1.2 - Update Of The People

Haha, needed to get a huge event going to get as many as we could in game for this time.

Yes, after much, much delay and drama...it's here. We had the misfortune of losing Stevo127 before work could begin on this version, which set us back quite a while. I have been working pretty much non-stop on this update the last Two months (Ms_Understood will testify to that  Barely said two words to her the last Two months!). WatakiWatako...without this man, this update wouldn't be out. He has been a GREAT help. Between us, we were able to work out 90% of the long standing irritating bugs. He has also done a fantastic job on his own features in this version, such as the Cop Teaming system. So a HUGE Thank you to Wataki for all his help.

I have dubbed this "The Update Of The People" for the simple reason, I used a lot of the suggestions players had brainstormed, we also added a few extra features onto their idea and tweaked them in certain fashions. Another thank you goes out to those who suggested features and for those who posted bugs. For those players whose suggestions weren't used, don't lose hope, always next version. 

So...onto the additions!

WareHouse.
The Warehouse can be used by any member of the community to store their Cash, C4, Weed and Heroin. It's located just next to the Northern Fire base. It can be seen on the map
with the "Save Game" icon.
You purchase Warehouse space from City Hall for 2 Million Dollars.
The basic Warehouse space can hold the following:
Code: [Select]
Money: 2 Million.
C4: 30 Blocks.
Weed: 2000 Grams.
Heroin: 50 Injections woth.
Your inventory will be saved even after server restarts, it works much like the ECNR Store item Backpack, except a Backpack is with you at all times, whereas you need to drive to this to store or retrieve your items.
Once the 2 Million is paid, the basic Warehouse space is yours forever.


Cops:
Cop Teams/Groups
Cop Teams are an addition to the law enforcement jobs, including Cops and the Army. Primarily designed to encourage teamwork, as the name suggests, the teaming system allows law enforcement officers to create, manage and most importantly, benefit from groups of several officers.
Upon creating a team, it is possible to invite other players. Once in a team, the entire team will benefit from arrests that are made by nearby team members.
The Cop Teams use an innovative GUI which can be accessed through the /team command. All other functions including creating groups, deleting groups, viewing group members and inviting players to your group are controlled directly within the GUI.

When a cop handcuffs a player, now it will make use of the handcuffed animation on the player.


Firefighting:
Although this feature of the script was previously released, it was completely non-functional.
In V1.2, we have made a series of critical bug fixes. As a result, it is now possible to extinguish fires and the helicopters (/fillwater and /waterdrop) can be used correctly.

A summary
The upgraded firefighting system is a major improvement on it's predecessor, improving upon realism and generally, making the experience much more enjoyable as well as encouraging team work.

As a firefighter, you are able to spawn at the North or South base, as always. Vastly improving on the previous version, the frequency of fires will vary depending upon the quantity of players online at the time. This ensures an acceptable balance of idle time, allowing firefighters to regroup and resupply, while eliminating the need to ask an admin to start a fire!

When responding to a fire, you will receive a fast response bonus including cash and score if you reach the scene of the fire within a defined period of time after it starts. Each fire has independently placed fire and smoke effects, creating the optimum realism. To extinguish the fire quickly, a large group of firefighters will be required. Unlike in the previous version where the fires were simply on a timer, a fire will now only be extinguished if there are firefighters on scene, dousing the flames. Note that the helicopters are a valuable asset, in most situations they are the most efficient option although the lack of speed and maneuverability will result in a disadvantage when dealing with a fire that is far from the nearest helipad.

The reward for extinguishing a fire will be shared throughout all firefighters who worked on that particular scene. This reward is calculated based upon the effort of each individual. If you extinguish the fire alone, you will receive the entire reward although this will take a relatively long period of time.

Feature List
?In most situations, dousing a fire with /dropwater is more efficient than using an extinguisher or fire truck as more water can be dropped if the distance to the nearest helipad isn't too extreme.
?The time taken to extinguish a fire depends on the intensity of fire, size of building, number of firefighters on scene and the methods that they use
?A fast response bonus will be rewarded when suitable
?Firefighters are notified of team mates arriving at a fire
?It is possible for more than one fire to occur simultaneously when a suitable number of firefighters are online
?The frequency of fires will vary with the number of online firefighters.
If there are no firefighters online, there will be no fires.


Miscellaneous:
You no longer need to be a Thief to use /rob. Although Thiefs will get 3 Score points for doing so, compared to the 1 point for every other skill.

Server restarts now only occur when there is no players online. As these can be quite annoying and a player count killer.

Auto Jails are now set for players who leave while handcuffed.

Most Wanted Criminals now recieve a score point for killing a cop or army.

Players must now have at least a score of 25 to play as a cop. This is to avoid futher abuse.

Fires now Echo to IRC.

All Irish spawn points have been removed.

More boats have been placed in the water for players who "fall off" Ireland.



Regular Players:
Regular Players now have the ability to start events, using the command /adevent. Players who abuse this will lose their privilege to use it.
However, Regs cannot give weapons during the event, this is to avoid potential abuse.

More Regular Player exclusive vehicles have been scattered around.

Only Regular Players can purchase Warehouse space.

Trash Delivery:
Skew the competition! The Trash Collection job has a new command, /trashbomb.
To plant a bomb in a bag of trash, approach the bag and type /trashbomb, this will rig the bag with explosives. The next person to use /pickup while standing next to the bag will get a nasty suprise!
/trashbomb requires a skill level of 20 and you must have a block of C4 before using the command. Each player can place a maximum of two trash bombs at a time.

After reaching trash skill level 16, it is now possible to use the four Dunes which are now located at the Whitewood Estates base.


ECNR Store:
Kelvin's House with vehicle.
Kelvin_Campe's purchased house.
Hiredgun's Exclusive Skin.
Hiredgun will now spawn with his weapon pack & Armour.
Hiredgun has a Backpack.
Sylar's House.
Since both Cookie & Kelvin were waiting considerable amounts of time for their purchases, I've done the following:
Given Cookie a free house.
Kelvin_Campe is now the owner of Boatbahn.

The Rebellion:
Hiredgun purchased the following for The Rebellion:
A Bank Account.
300 Million to start off with in the account.
They now have their own Exclusive Skin.


Bug Fixes:
A lot of Grammatical mistakes.

!Playerinfo now sent to correct channel.

Passport is no longer needed to rob the Airport.

!say cutting messages off.

When you purchase 10 blocks of C4, it now goes into your WareHouse space.

Lotto bug.

The Double robbery ATM Bug.

We're almost certain we've sorted the Playerfile resetting issue.

Skills not being explained upon spawn.

Terrorism not Echo'ing.

The Ever Irritating Guantanamo Bay Bug where you're above the cells.

Skills not being explained upon selection.

Being able to spam "Hello" button.

Increased the size of the Green Haven exit checkpoint, hopefully this stops players from falling from the sky. Just to be safe, make sure not to run through it. Although feel free to test and let us know.

Blowing up The Sherman Dam now gives you two score points, it was previously no points.

Checkpoints taking you into a building although being in a car. (Fixed for most checkpoints, please post in bugs section with any ones that I've missed)

Administration:
The Anti-Speed Hack System is more sensitive.
Administrators will now recieve a message when another admin is Spectating or has stopped spectaing a player.
!padan, works just like !adan, except it sends the announcment to a certain player.
!backpack. Players must be given their Backpacks as soon as they are purchased from the ECNR Store.
!setscore (id) (Amount) (Reason).
!givecash (id) (Amount) (Reason).
!SetRobSkill (id) (Amount) (Reason).
!SetTerSkill (id) (Amount) (Reason).
!armour (id)
!heal (id)
!info (id) - Will give a vast list of player information

We've finally got our very first Enigmatic Gaming Community homepage. See it by visiting www.egc.me.uk.

We'd like to thank Xplicit for creating this website for us, he put a lot of effort into it.
Myself & WatakiWatako just spent the last Two hours trying to get it online...we made many mistakes and were shitting ourselves from them mistakes quite a lot. :P

However, it's online now. We will continue to work on this site, but we feel it's good enough to have online for the time being.

Announcements / Official ECNR Event. Several prizes.

Trust me, this is going to be most exiting thing to happen on ECNR Yet.

WatakiWatako & Max_Payne are going to post their specialized events under my post.
My post is just to inform you all of the time & the prizes.

The event will take place tomorrow (18th of October) at 9PM, Byrner Time. As of this post, it is almost 7PM my time, so base your timing off that.

There will be many prizes for this event.
A House, Smack Shack Business, Backpack, Weapon Pack and EVERY contestant gets a pair of glasses.

The Winner will have a choice between any of these prizes, person who comes second will have the choice of whats left and so on. The top Four winners from all events will get one of the main prizes.
If this is in any way confusing, feel free to post asking your question.

We will have several events, each winner will get a point, the player with the most points at the end wins.

Plain and simply, we are giving away A House, A Backpack, A Weapon Pack and The Smack Shack business, along with every person who participates in this event getting a pair of glasses.

Well, the events went very well!
The winners ended up being:

1st) The_Core - 4 Points
2nd) Infinity    - 3 Points
3rd)  Ratzu     - 2 Points

And as of posting, even he is unaware, but I've decided to place Creep 4th. This is the Hard Work award!

So, Core had his choice of prizes, he chose a House.
Infinity then had second choice, he was happy to pick a Backpack.
Then Ratzu had the choice between a Weapon Pack & The Smack Shack...he picked a Weapon Pack.
Which means Creep gets the Smack Shack!

Congrats to all winners and contestants. Was a great day, as none of you were expecting the server to be updated just before the events started!
It appears the glasses system is bugged, we are attempting to fix this as we speak, as soon as it's sorted, all contestants will receive them.
