IRC Spamming

Just thought I'd suggest that IRC have some sort of anti-spam? Because this:

I'm not pointing fingers at anyone specific (everyone kept changing nicks, so its hard to say who spammed what) and I know I spam sometimes ("POW, BLAM, MUTTON" etc) I just thought this should be dealt with, as its irritating to see when I'm actually trying to speak to someone ig or on irc.

I was IG at the time and it was flooded of messages like this, reported using /admin but no reply.

I've witnessed this while i was ig. When my pc lost focus i could see the IRC. Plus the ig messages were hard to let pass undetected.

I don't get why people think spamming/flooding is okay. It annoys the crap out of players and I've told quite a few people via IRC to stop  spamming. They stop for the time being, And start up again sometime later. So, Here's the deal, The next person that spams the living hell outta IRC will receive a 24 hour ban from IRC. Repeat offenders will get more time added on to the next IRC ban.




Edit: What I mean by spamming only pertains of repeating yourself when you spam, Not when your just continuously talking normal in each line. You know what I mean, just don't keep repeating the same thing over and over and over like the evidence shows some of you guys doing.
